Privacy policy
Plain language, because you shouldn't need a lawyer to find out what happens to your data.
Last updated: 2026. This policy covers dieseldeskai.com and the DieselDesk AI service.
What we collect from this website
If you submit the founding seat application, we collect the name, shop name, phone number, email address and the details you choose to give us. That's it. We use it to contact you about DieselDesk AI and for nothing else.
If you use the browser demo, the conversation is processed to generate the AI's responses and may be retained so we can improve the agent. Don't put anything confidential into a demo call.
What we collect when we answer calls for your shop
When DieselDesk AI handles calls on behalf of a client shop, we process what a front desk would process: caller name and number, unit and vehicle details, the complaint, appointment details, and a recording and transcript of the call. Callers are notified that the call is recorded.
That data belongs to the shop, not to us. We hold it to deliver the service. We export it to the shop on request and delete it on request.
What we never do
- We do not sell your information, or a shop's customer information, to anyone.
- We do not share one shop's call data with another shop.
- We do not add applicants to marketing lists they didn't ask for.
Text messages and mobile information
If you give a shop permission to text you about your repair, we process your mobile number and a record of when and how you opted in, so we can send appointment confirmations, reminders and vehicle-ready notices. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. Full program details are in the text message terms.
No mobile information is sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are shared only with the telephony providers that deliver the messages for us, and those providers may not use them for any other purpose. Text-message consent is never shared with anyone.
Service providers
We use third-party infrastructure to run the service — website hosting, telephony, speech processing and customer records. These providers process data on our instructions to deliver the service. We'll name the current providers on request.
Call recording
Calls handled by DieselDesk AI are recorded, and callers are notified within the call. Recording notification is configured to the requirements of the states a shop operates in, and we go through this with every shop during onboarding. If a caller objects, the call is routed to a person.
How long we keep things
Application details are kept while we're in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Client call data is kept for the term of the agreement plus a short window afterwards, or until deletion is requested — whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. California residents have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing — we don't sell or share personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of, but the right exists and we'll honour any request. Write to hello@dieseldeskai.com and we'll deal with it.
Cookies
This site doesn't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The browser demo widget sets what it needs to run a call session.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy materially, we'll update the date above and tell active clients directly. Questions: hello@dieseldeskai.com.
